Silver Lake Exhibition at the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza

This Silver Lake exhibit grew out of the 2026 Quilt-Along led by Pat Sloan, using Wendy Sheppard’s Silver Lake Pattern based on a vintage quilt from the Virginia Quilt Museum’s collection. The original quilt was made in the early 1950s as a wedding gift for Mary Spitzer Etter of Harrisonburg, Virginia, by her cousins Clara Reynolds and Phyllis Lindsey. This exhibition features the original quilt, Pat Sloan’s version made with Blue Mill by Benartex fabric, Wendy Sheppard’s version, and others selected through a call for entries.
