The Virginia Quilt Museum is pleased to host Sacred Threads, a traveling exhibition of quilts exploring themes of joy, inspiration, spirituality, healing, grief, and peace. Established as a biennial exhibition, Sacred Threads provides a welcoming space for artists who view quilting as a connection to the sacred or as an expression of their spiritual journey.
Through deeply personal works, participating artists share experiences, emotions, and reflections that resonate with viewers on both spiritual and personal levels. The exhibition seeks to create a space for connection and contemplation, while offering stories that may provide comfort, healing, inspiration, or strength.
This exhibition is sponsored by Lisa Ellis in honor of Vikki Pignatelli, founder of Sacred Threads. Thank you to Lisa for her generous sponsorship.
