One Voice, Two Songs explores the creative dialogue between Jill Kerttula’s fiber and ceramic work. Though the materials and techniques differ, both bodies of work are rooted in observation, texture, and Kerttula’s distinctive artistic voice. Her photographs serve as a starting point, transforming moments of everyday beauty through fabric and stitch, clay, and other materials.
Bringing these works together, the exhibition considers the art quilt as a fine-art medium and explores how an artist’s ideas can move across disciplines. Whether working with fiber or ceramics, Kerttula uses texture, composition, and craftsmanship to interpret the world around her. The result is not two separate artistic practices, but two expressions of the same creative voice.
Experience how one artist can speak through different materials while telling the same story.
