Second Saturdays: Log Cabins will look at one of the most popular traditional blocks in quilting. Depending on the color and pattern of fabrics used Log Cabin quilts can look vastly different from each other. Explore a few of the different looks that can be achieved with this delightful block.
Second Saturdays is a new series focused on sharing the Virginia Quilt Museum’s collection with quilt lovers in a virtual setting. Each Second Saturday will cover a different topic and include a 30 minute presentation highlighting 4-5 quilts followed by time for questions. Second Saturdays presentations will be given by VQM Executive Director, Alicia Thomas, and VQM Curator, Kate Read.
