Opportunity Quilt – Chintz Medallion
Our 2013 Opportunity Quilt is a reproduction of the oldest quilt in the museum's collection. A Tree of Life Center Medallion, the reproduced quilt is made from the Chintz Medallion collection of fabrics by Quilting Treasures. The fabric line faithfully copies the fabrics in the original quilt, created around 1810. This beautiful quilt has been pieced and quilted by the Virginia Quilt Museum’s Vice President, Josephine Millett.
Tickets are available for only $1 each. You may also purchase tickets online, at the Museum, from museum members, and at various show venues during the year.
All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the museum. Thank you for your support!

Donate: In Memory or In Honor of Someone Special
Do you know someone who has impacted your life and had a love of quilting? Honor them with
a special donation in their name. The Museum will track all donations made in a specific person’s name within a calendar year and when the donations reach $1,856 that person will be added to our 1856 Society and will be remembered forever. Their name will be added to our beautiful plaque that is always on display at the Virginia Quilt Museum. In addition, they will be honored in our quarterly newsletter and on our website.
You can help the Virginia Quilt Museum and honor someone special at the same time!

The Virginia Quilt Museum was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of one of our charter members and former Secretary of our Board of Directors. Marianne Lloyd has been a champion of the Museum for years and she will be greatly missed. Her family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation to the Virginia Quilt Museum would be a better way to honor Marianne's memory. Marianne, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of another of our charter members. Charlotte Veregge was a passionate supporter of the
Virginia Quilt Museum, the Virginia Consortium of Quilters, and quilting. We are thankful that her family has chosen to honor Charlotte's memory by asking that donations be made to the Virginia
Quilt Museum and her church. Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlotte's family and friends.
Donate Your Time
At the Virginia Quilt Museum, we
love our volunteers. Volunteers are always needed to
support the Museum's mission of celebrating and nurturing Virginia's quilting heritage. Volunteers play a vital role in greeting our visitors by collecting admission fees, working in the Museum Shop, assisting with special events, guiding tours, leading
children’s activities, presenting at different organizations, and helping with the collection and exhibits. We need everyone's talents. Contact the museum if you have time to spare.
