Silent Auction of Little Quilts

This auction is held from May 1 to November 1 each year. The quilts are generously donated by quilters in support of the museum. Anyone may donate a small quilt to the auction. Requirements are as follows: Quilts must be no smaller than 5"x6" and no larger than a total of 64" around all sides. Traditional patterns on a small scale seem to be most popular. Both pieced and applique items are welcome. Any quilting technique is acceptable. Donated quilts must be received at the museum by the first week of March each year. A hanging sleeve should be attached to the back of the quilt along with your name, city and state. (Bidders like to know who made the quilts.) All of the little quilts are displayed at the museum from May to November. If any quilt is not bid upon during the auction, it is placed in the shop to be sold to benefit the museum.

Silent auction rules:
Bids must increase in increments of $5 (all bids begin at $25). You may phone the museum to check on a bid at 540-433-3818. Highest bidders will be contacted at the end of the auction. Quilts will be mailed to the highest bidder upon receipt of payment.
